Mentorship Program
Our mentorship program is meant to complement our scholarship program and help students stay on the right path and be their guide in all aspects of life.
Vision
To identify underprivileged teenagers aged 14 and above, who have the potential to become good-natured socially conscious members of society and help them excel in life.
Eligibility
Mentees are chosen based on their behaviour, intent and potential. A child “good at heart” is the main criteria rather than academic performance or current intellect.
Students aged 14 and above are eligible for the mentorship program.
Goals
The Shona Seva Foundation Mentorship Program will guide the mentees in the following ways:
- Act as a life guide, helping children understand the importance of their attitude, help them be sensitive towards society needs, teach them the value of being a socially conscious person and in general find true happiness and contentment in their lives.
- Teach mentees spoken English so that they can communicate with confidence and are able to complete their education and opt for a career without any language barriers.
- Help mentees with their educational and career choices. Help them choose the right field of study after 10th standard. Show them the choices available, understand the career options based on their interests and guide them towards achieving their goals.
- Deserving students can be eligible for a scholarship to complete their higher education.
- Above all, help and guide the mentees to become good human beings, be the person they are meant to be without letting external pressures affect in any way.
Apart from the above, life-skills classes shall also be conducted periodically with experts in various disciplines.
